MATTHEW BRUNTON

Director / Senior Podiatrist

Having grown up in the Shoalhaven himself, Matthew is very proud to be able to raise his young family in such a wonderful area.
​
With over 20 years’ experience in all facets of Podiatry, Matthew established his own Podiatry Practice just over 16 years ago.
​
Matthew has always led an active lifestyle playing a range of sports including AFL, Soccer, Cricket, Triathlons and has also completed Blackmore’s Sydney Marathon, Gold Coast Marathon and Port Macquarie’s Ironman Australia Triathlon.
​
Matthew specialises in Biomechanical Assessments and Sports Related Injuries with the use of Shockwave & Laser Therapy, Injection Therapy, Dry Needling, Foot Mobilisation and Custom Orthotic Prescriptions.

With over 18 years' experience, Claire began her career in Nowra in 2006. After 8 years working as a Podiatrist in the Shoalhaven, she relocated with her family to the Sunshine Coast. After a further 8 years in a busy private practice Claire has returned to where it all began back in the Shoalhaven.
Claire is a caring and compassionate podiatrist who enjoys working with a wide range of patients. No matter the complaint, Claire finds it rewarding to provide comfort and a solution to her patients needs. Her focus is to keep you active and able to enjoy your life.
When Claire is not at work she is spending time with her family, soaking up the outdoors.

BONNIE BLACKBURN

Having moved to the beautiful Shoalhaven 6 years ago to escape the rat-race of Sydney.
Bonnie enjoys working in all areas of podiatry: servicing general care, skin and nail conditions, ingrown toenails, biomechanical issues, sports injuries, diabetic foot care management, working with children and people with disabilities and dementia.

With a background in Remedial Massage Therapy, Bonnie has an interest in holistic therapies and improving overall muscular and postural health.
Recently, adding fields of study into foot mobilisation, injection therapies and barefoot muscle exercises/strengthening allows for exciting improvements for patient outcomes!
Bonnie also loves a good bush walk or outdoor adventure and is also known to be a bit of foodie. Bonnie is busy raising two sons and her baby daughter alongside her supportive husband.

Ashraful Ahmed (Ash) is a dedicated and skilled podiatrist known for his commitment to enhancing foot health and patient well-being. His journey in podiatry commenced at Western Sydney University, where he earned his Bachelor's degree in Podiatric Medicine. Prior to joining Sutherland Shire Podiatry, Ash was a registered nurse working in a nursing home with elderly patients. During this time, he decided to work with patients with lower leg and foot problems.
Ash also works in Footsy and Turramurra Podiatry Centre. With extensive experience working across various regions in New South Wales, Ash has gathered his expertise in addressing a diverse range of foot conditions and pathologies. His passion for biomechanics, diabetic foot care and lower limb health related to diabetes drives him to deliver personalized treatment plans aimed at managing pain and discomfort while fostering overall foot health.
Outside of his career, he likes to play cricket, cook and travel. He used to play cricket in Bangladesh.

THOMAS VELLIOS

Thomas was born in Southwest Western Australia, before relocating to the Shoalhaven region.
He holds a Bachelor of Science in Sport Science, Exercise, and Health, as well as a Doctor of Podiatric Medicine, both from the University of Western Australia.
Thomas has also completed foundational surgical skills training through the Australasian College of Podiatric Surgeons.
​
He has a broad interest in all areas of podiatry, with a particular passion for supporting runners, and active individuals in returning to the activities they enjoy.
Outside of his professional commitments, Thomas enjoys live music, camping, outdoor climbing and trail running. He is currently training for several ultra-marathons

RACHELLE BRUNTON
Director / Practice Manager

Rachelle is our Practice Manager overseeing the day to day administration and accounts of the Practice.
Rachelle also grew up in Nowra. Having studied an undergraduate degree in Community and Environment she further obtained a post-graduate degree in Education from the University of Wollongong.
Rachelle's interests include travel, therapeutic uses of essential oils, live theatre, interior design and most importantly spending time with her two boys, family and friends.

SALLY
Podiatry Assistant
Currently on Maternity Leave until July 2026
Sally was born and raised in the beautiful Shoalhaven.
Her interests include animals, health and fitness.
Sally has completed a Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistant with Podiatry Skill set to help assist our podiatrists improve people’s quality of life.

In her spare time, Sally enjoys running, going to the gym & walking her golden retriever, Ellie.

REBECCA K

Rebecca was born in Sydney, but moved to the beautiful Shoalhaven when she was 4 years old.
Her interests includes her love for her animals, health & keeping fit!
Rebecca worked as an Aged Care Nurse for 11 years. Now she is taking a different direction, as a Podiatry Assistant to improve her knowledge and thus continuing to help others.
In her spare time, Rebecca enjoys spending time with her 2 labradors, 3 french bulldogs and family & friends.

ZAC

Zac has grown up in the Shoalhaven and has just graduated Year 12 from Nowra Highschool, where he had the honour of being School Captain.
In 2026 Zac will be commencing his first year of a 4-year podiatry course, which he is looking forward to.
Zac completed a Certificate 3 in Allied Health Assistance in 2025, which has now enabled him to assist Podiatrists at Jervis Bay & Brunton Podiatry.
Zac loves fitness, health and keeping up to date with a wide range of sports.
Zac plays tennis competitively and I also coach junior tennis. He also loves to play golf, hang out with my friends and travel with my family, especially to New Zealand.

Born in Sydney, Sam moved with her husband and 3 beautiful children to the Shoalhaven area 19 years ago.
Sam has come from working in community pharmacy and is excited to start her next career adventure with the lovely team at Jervis Bay & Brunton Podiatry.
In her spare time, Sam loves to spend time with her family and her pets. Sam also loves the beach, reading, and spending time with friends.

Rebecca (Bec) was born in Inverell but has called the Shoalhaven home since she was just 3 months old. Bec is married with three beautiful children and brings warmth, and a friendly smile to the Brunton Podiatry front desk.
Before joining us, Bec spent over 12 years running a dairy farm with her family, and also has experience in admin, casual reception, and hospitality – including a recent role as a barista.
Outside of work, Bec loves spending time with her family and keeping active at the gym. Now ready for a new challenge, she’s excited to be part of the Jervis Bay & Brunton Podiatry team and looks forward to welcoming you to the clinic!
